Your XBOX 360 is a computer in every way and even processes display information through a video card. Signal degradation is not nearly as noticable on a television as it definately would be on a monitor. Televisions as I said are significantly inferior to CRT's and so data is not only carried diffeently it is also diplayed differently. The VGA cable running from your monitor to your video card needs not only to carry multiple types of data but fast enough for a good sync/RefRate.Ī component cable essentially does the same thing but it is designed for a different display architecture. Mind you it is much smaller and that to me is a factor to consider. There never has been and currently is not a TV in the world that can do what a standard 5 year old CRT monitor can do and thats a fact.
